Tuesday nights in October usually belong to nobody. NFL is done until Thursday, the NBA is still in preseason, and hockey is just finding its legs. @junior721 looked at that slate and saw a payday. They built an 8-leg parlay across the NHL, NBA preseason and a USMNT friendly, hit every leg, and finished 1st out of 88 entries in the 50X contest on Wanna Parlay for $750 on a $10 entry.
That’s 75 times their money. One of those legs needed a goal with 14 seconds left in overtime.
Meet the Player
@junior721, repping Georgia, who watched four NHL games, three NBA games and a soccer match on the same night and apparently had a read on all of them. Nobody does that by accident.
The Parlay: 8 Legs, One Night
Leg 1: Brooklyn Nets Moneyline at Hornets
@junior721 opened with the riskiest pick on the card: the Nets as underdogs in Charlotte. Brooklyn didn’t just win, they won 92-73. Charlotte was missing several players, and the Nets made them pay.
Leg 1: ✅
Leg 2: Toronto Maple Leafs Moneyline vs. Predators
This is the leg that should have sunk the parlay. Nashville jumped out to a 3-0 lead in Toronto. Most parlays die right there.
Then the Leafs started chipping away. Gavin McKenna scored his first NHL goal and added his first assist, and Toronto forced overtime. With 14 seconds left in OT, Auston Matthews scored to win it 5-4.
Wanna’s moneyline picks count overtime, so that goal kept the parlay alive with 14 seconds to spare.
Leg 2: ✅
Leg 3: New York Rangers Moneyline vs. Islanders
A rivalry game at Madison Square Garden, and the Rangers controlled it, 5-2. After the Toronto scare, @junior721 needed an easy one and got it.
Leg 3: ✅
Leg 4: USMNT Moneyline vs. Canada
Here’s the leg that makes this parlay different from anything you can build on most DFS apps: a straight-up pick on an international soccer friendly. The USMNT beat Canada 1-0 at Allianz Field in St. Paul. Nineteen-year-old Justin Ellis scored the only goal in the first half, then left at halftime with a knock. It was the USMNT’s first win over Canada under Mauricio Pochettino, and it capped a perfect international window.
Leg 4: ✅
Leg 5: Denver Nuggets Moneyline at Jazz
Two days earlier, Utah beat Denver in their preseason opener. @junior721 backed the Nuggets in the rematch anyway. Denver led 61-56 at halftime, Aaron Gordon led the way with 18 points, and the Nuggets won 117-106.
Leg 5: ✅
Leg 6: Vegas Golden Knights Moneyline at Kraken
Vegas went into Seattle and took over. Jack Eichel and Tomas Hertl each put up four points, Mark Stone scored shorthanded, and the Golden Knights won 6-2 to sweep their Pacific Northwest road trip.
Leg 6: ✅
Leg 7: Florida Panthers Moneyline at Kings
Leg 7 was a tight one. Los Angeles scored first, late in the first period. Florida tied it, then Matthew Tkachuk scored the winner in the third period for a 2-1 Panthers win.
Leg 7: ✅
Leg 8: Stephen Curry Over 0.5 Three-Pointers vs. Lakers
The last leg of the night was the safest pick on the card: Steph Curry to make at least one three. Curry delivered, and that sealed 1st place.
Leg 8: ✅
Why This Parlay Worked
@junior721 found value where other players weren’t looking. While everyone else was waiting for Thursday Night Football, they built a winning card out of NHL moneylines, NBA preseason picks and an international soccer friendly.
That’s only possible because of the pick types Wanna Parlay offers. Most DFS apps give you player props only. On Wanna, you can pick a moneyline on an NHL game, an NBA preseason game or a USMNT friendly, then add a player prop like Curry’s threes, all in the same parlay. Seven of @junior721’s eight legs were moneylines, so this entry wouldn’t exist on a props-only app.
These games are over, so please don’t copy these picks. Copy the approach instead: the quiet nights on the sports calendar are often where leaderboards are easiest to win, because fewer people are paying attention.
And on Wanna Parlay, everything is public. @junior721’s picks are on their profile for anyone to see. If someone’s on a heater, go to their profile, see what they’re picking, and try to ride the hot streak.
